The Director is empowered to recognize One State Library Association for the whole State. So also, one Divisional Library Association for each division and one District Library Association for each district. The State Library Association is eligible for a maximum grant of Rs. 24,000/-, the Divisional Library Associations are eligible for a maximum grant of Rs. 3,000/- each. The District Library Association is eligible for maximum grant of Rs. 2000/- every year. Publication grant to Library Associations are also being sanctioned if they applied. Besides, the State Library Association, 6 Divisional Library Associations, and 33 District Library Associations are eligible for a conference grant every year Rs. 2000, 750 & 300 respectively.
